What your child should bring to the Center

Please dress your child in comfortable play clothes. Your child should be able to play without worrying about having to keep their clothes clean. Outer clothing should be labeled with the child’s name.

Each child must bring one complete set of clothing clearly labeled with his or her name. Extra clothing is needed for emergencies caused by anything from toileting problems to an occasional excessive zeal with outdoor activities.

Personal Items

Children may bring an item from home to share on Wednesday only. The items are put in their own cubbies and brought out only during share time. Parents are asked to help their child understand that it is not wise to bring to the center toys or other things that he/she may not wish to share with the group. Rainbow Junction cannot assume responsibility for lost or broken belongings, so please do not send irreplaceable items. Please do not send candy, gum, money or play guns to the center with your child.

Sign-in and Pick-up

Children must be brought inside the center and signed in upon arrival. Parents must sign their full name and time of drop off on the sign-in sheet and notify a staff member that their child has arrived.

Persons other than the parents picking up or dropping off a child are required to be on file at the center as being authorized by the parents. We will check for their driver's license. They are required to print and sign their full names on the sign in/out sheet.

Late Pick-up

Due to scheduling and staffing requirements, late pick-ups will be charged $5.00 for every five minutes past 6 P.M.

Tuition

Tuition is due on the first day of your child's week.

Food and Rest Periods

Rainbow Junction will provide mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. Lunches are to be provided by parents. Lunches should be well-balanced and not require any refrigeration. Each lunch box should be clearly labeled with the child’s name. There will be a quiet time in the center each afternoon for all children. Children are expected to rest quietly on mats, allowing those who need to sleep the opportunity to do so. We will provide each children with their own blanket.

Parent-Teacher Discussions

Parents are welcome to visit the center at any time. We encourage you to consult our staff members whenever the need arises. Parent-teacher conferences can be scheduled after school so that the teachers are not distracted from their responsibilities to the children. Strong parent involvement is essential to student development in early education programs.
